Megadeth
For the past two decades, Megadeth's storied career, including more than 20 million worldwide sales and 8 Grammy nods, has not only set standards in hard rock and metal, but defined them. Megadeth's signature shredding and rousing lyrics have drawn fans in since the band's beginnings, and are the very things that keep them interested, excited, and of course, headbanging, at every turn. Founding vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine, a NY Times bestselling author who was the recipient of the first annual Golden God Award at the inaugural Revolver Golden Gods Awards in 2009, is renowned for his ability to use the vehicle of music to shake things up, to make a point and to rattle your brain, literally, figuratively and sonically. I love both bands equally. Metallica was amazing live.
To make myself clear though, who cares? Dave isnt as much of a wanker and Lars isnt as much of a prat. The whole Mustaine sucks thing is really boring. He’s not anymore and he’s gone to great lengths to try and make amends for averything he’s done.
ANd Lars belongs in Metallica despite his lack of drumming- he’s got the best mind for running a band- and thats why Metallica is as good as they are. Good on you Lars. Good on you Dave…
I have a suspicion there a few people who frequently go round the net and write Mustaine sucks for any intervierw, youtube ect thing that gets posted. Its kind of sad really. Like they’re hoping that Lars will read it and let them suck him off. When in fact he’d tell them theyre losers….

Seeing Metallica in November, and NOW seeing MEGADETH, Some one can shoot me after these 2 concerts, I’ll die as a very happy man, knowing I’ve seen the best two heavy metal bands of all time in one year.

I’ve seen megadeth every time they’ve come to Oz, fucking brilliant!
I put them up there with Dream Theatre and Ozzy for a live show, which is enough to make your jaw drop so hard and fast, it rips the skin off your face.
I don’t care what they play, I’ve seen them play pretty much everything over the years anyway, so I’ll be happy to just be there. For all of you first timers, Get in the pit & crowd surf – you WON’T die!
Not sure about some of the other acts though, Parkway should be good.

yes, im glad Megadeth havent bowed to commersialism as Metallica did. I lost interest in Metallica about the Justice for all days. Is Megadeth bigger than Metallica, probably not on sheer album sales.. but is Dave Mustaine bigger than Metallica, quite possibly. Still have huge respect for both bands nonetheless, but looking forward to Megadeth on Dec 10 100%
Metallica were great the other night, but Megadeth will be fucking sensational. Last years show in Sydney (with Slayer, who were shat on by the ‘Deth) was the single best set I’ve ever seen!! And I’ve seen everyone. so there.
